Dr. Salo (pronounced “say-low”) trained in Michigan and follows in my footsteps as a “premature casualty of a broken system” by coming to us as a refugee from the local large hospital system, desperate to improve his patient interactions by limiting his patient panel in our concierge model. Six years out of residency, Marcus spent his first three years in the urgent care environment before segueing into his current hospital-based primary care practice on John’s Island. As such, he is a perfect fit for our cultivated practice as he shares a preventative and lifestyle focus in his approach to patient care reinforced by his personal focus on his own physical and mental health and wellness. He is eager to slow down the pace and be accessible and accountable within our practice culture. He is committed to Charleston, living on James Island with his encouraging and supportive wife, a clinical psychologist.
